About me
I am an experienced and qualified counsellor / psychotherapist, a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and I live and work in between Leeds and Wakefield in West Yorkshire.
I am an Integrative Relational Therapist and I value a humanistic approach to our work together, which means that we will focus on you as a unique individual and your experience of and relationship with the world around you. I work in a bespoke and solution focused way, to help you solve life’s challenges, whether that’s work, relationships, past issues or generally feeling stuck.
I have specialist experience working with trauma, domestic violence and abuse, as well as supporting people with a range of common mental health and relationship issues. I have many years experience supporting people with work related stress, career change, redundancy and burnout, finding purpose and meaning again in their work.
As well as my counselling experience, I bring over 20 years experience of working for a global FTSE250 company, in a recruitment and wellbeing role, leading groups, workshops and networks with the aim of raising awareness, education and promotion of inclusivity and greater wellbeing for all. I am also a Mental Health First Aider.
Training and qualifications include Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy - Anna Freud Centre, 2024, PG Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy - Distinction, 2023, PG Certificate in Counselling and Interpersonal Skills - Merit, 2021.
